Okay, so Tower of Dawn, right? It focuses on Chaol and Nesryn traveling to the Southern Continent for two main reasons: healing for Chaol’s spinal injury and forging an alliance against Erawan. It’s a bit slower paced than the other books, but you get so much character development for Chaol. He really grapples with his past mistakes and learns to grow. Plus, there’s a whole new culture and magic system to explore, which is fascinating! And a slow-burn romance develops that’s actually super sweet. Honestly, I wasn’t sure at first, but I ended up really loving Chaol’s journey. It made me appreciate him so much more. You definitely need to read it before Kingdom of Ash!
