How to organize PDF pages

  1. Select your PDF or drop it onto the page to load a thumbnail of every page.
  2. Drag pages into a new order. On touch screens, press and drag.
  3. Use each page's buttons to rotate, duplicate or delete it, and add blank pages where you need space.
  4. When the order looks right, apply the changes and download the reorganised PDF.

Everything you can do in one view

  • Reorder pages by dragging, for example to move an appendix to the end or put a summary first.
  • Rotate individual sideways pages.
  • Duplicate a page, such as a form you need twice or a cover sheet for each section.
  • Delete pages you don't want.
  • Insert blank pages for notes, or so chapters start on the right-hand side when printing double-sided.

Fixing scanned documents

Double-sided originals scanned with a single-sided feeder often come out in the wrong order, or with every other page upside down. Organize PDF lets you fix both problems by eye using the thumbnails, without reprinting or rescanning.

It also helps when assembling documents from several sources: put the summary first, group related pages together, remove duplicates and add a blank separator page between sections, all before sending a single tidy file.

Combining with other tools

To organise pages that come from several files, combine them first with Merge PDF. To bring in pages from a second document at a specific position, use Insert PDF Pages. Pages are moved without altering their content, so quality is unchanged, and the whole job runs in your browser without uploading the document.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move a page?

Drag its thumbnail to the new position. The other pages move aside to make room.

Can I add a blank page?

Yes. Insert a blank page at any position; it uses the size of the neighbouring page.

Can I duplicate a page?

Yes. Use the duplicate button on the page; the copy appears right after it and can be dragged elsewhere.

Will reorganising change the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without re-compressing anything.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. All changes are made in your browser.
