How to replace pages in a PDF
- Select the PDF that contains the pages you want to replace.
- Choose the PDF that holds the replacement pages.
- Select which pages to replace and which replacement pages to use.
- Click replace and download the updated document.
When replacing beats re-exporting
Sometimes only one page of a finished document changes: a corrected price list, a page that has now been signed, an updated organisation chart or a page with a typo. Re-exporting the whole file from the original application can be slow or impossible if you don't have it, and someone else may already have added comments or signatures you don't want to lose. Replacing just the affected pages keeps every other page exactly as it was.
How replacement works
The pages you choose are removed and the replacement pages are put in exactly the same positions. Replacement pages keep their own page size and orientation. If you replace one page with several, the following pages move along to make room.
Check the result before sending it on: if the replacement page comes from a different source, its margins or fonts may look slightly different from its neighbours, and bookmarks that pointed to the old page may no longer lead to the same content.
- Scanned a signed page with your phone? Turn the photo into a PDF with JPG to PDF first.
- Want to add pages without removing any? Use Insert PDF Pages.
Both files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.
