How to convert SVG to JPG

  1. Add your .svg files with Select files or by dragging them onto the page.
  2. Enter the output width and pick a background colour for transparent areas.
  3. Set the Quality; 90 or higher keeps edges of graphics clean.
  4. Click Convert and download the JPG files or a ZIP.

When JPG makes sense for vector art

Some places simply don't accept SVG: certain marketplaces, upload forms, email previews and older office programs. JPG works everywhere, but it has no transparency, so the converter fills empty areas with the colour you choose. Match it to where the image will appear, such as white for documents.

If the destination accepts PNG, SVG to PNG is usually better for logos and icons because it keeps edges perfectly crisp and supports transparency.

SVG to JPG is handy when a form or marketplace only accepts JPG images.

Size and quality

Choose the width you need and the height scales proportionally. Flat-colour graphics and text are where JPEG compression shows first, as faint ripples along edges, so keep the quality at 90 or above for logos and diagrams.

As a rule of thumb, export at the largest size the image will be displayed, or about 2500 pixels wide for a full-width A4 print at 300 DPI. Larger exports need more memory but stay sharp when scaled down.

Rendering limitations

The SVG is drawn by your browser. Scripts and embedded HTML are stripped for safety, externally linked fonts and images may not load, and animated SVGs are captured in their initial state. Fonts that are not embedded are replaced by fonts installed on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose the background colour?

Yes. Any colour can be used to fill transparent areas, white by default.

Why do the edges look slightly blurry?

JPEG compression softens sharp edges. Raise the quality, or use PNG output for crisp graphics.

What happens to animated SVGs?

The JPG captures the SVG's initial appearance; animation is not included.

Is the conversion done online?

It runs in your browser. The SVG file is never uploaded.
