How to convert SVG to PNG
- Click Select files and choose one or more .svg files.
- Set the output width in pixels; the height follows the SVG's proportions.
- Click Convert to render each SVG as a PNG.
- Download the PNG files, or all of them as a ZIP.
Vector in, pixels out
An SVG describes shapes mathematically, so it stays sharp at any size. A PNG is a fixed grid of pixels. When you convert, you decide how many pixels the PNG should have, and the SVG is drawn crisply at exactly that size. For high-density screens, export at two or three times the size the image will be displayed.
SVG to PNG conversion is needed wherever vector files are not accepted, such as many social networks and app stores.
What renders and what doesn't
Your SVG is drawn by the browser's own SVG engine, the same one that displays it on web pages. For safety, scripts and embedded HTML content are removed before rendering. Text uses fonts installed on your device unless the fonts are embedded in the file, so convert text to outlines in your design app if exact typography matters. Images or fonts referenced by external URLs may not load.
If an SVG has no width or height, its viewBox determines the proportions.
Transparency
Transparent areas stay transparent in the PNG, so logos can be placed on any background. If you need a solid background instead, use SVG to JPG, and to build a favicon from the result use PNG to ICO.
Typical exports include 512 × 512 pixels for a store or app icon and 1200 pixels wide for social media images.
Frequently asked questions
What size should I export?
Use the largest size the image will be displayed at, multiplied by two for sharp results on high-resolution screens.
Why does the text look different from my design app?
The SVG uses fonts installed on your device. Convert text to outlines before exporting for an exact match.
Why are some parts of my SVG missing?
External images, web fonts and scripts referenced by URL may not load during conversion. Embed resources in the SVG instead.
Is the background transparent?
Yes. Areas without fill remain transparent in the PNG.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The SVG is rendered locally in your browser.
