How to convert PDF to PowerPoint

  1. Select your PDF or drop it onto the page.
  2. Choose the pages to include and the image quality.
  3. Click convert. Each page is rendered and placed on its own slide.
  4. Download the .pptx file and open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote.

How the slides are built

Each PDF page is rendered as a sharp image and placed on its own slide, sized to fit. This keeps the page looking exactly as designed, with fonts, charts and layout intact, which is ideal when you need to present a PDF report, a handout or exported slides in a meeting, or add your own slides before and after it.

PDF to PowerPoint is handy for presenting a report or handout in a meeting: every page becomes a slide you can reorder or annotate.

Editing limitations

Because each slide shows an image of the page, the text on it cannot be edited as PowerPoint text boxes. You can still add new text, shapes, speaker notes and animations on top, reorder slides, and delete the ones you don't need. If you need to edit the wording itself, convert with PDF to Word and copy the text into your slides, or edit the PDF directly with Edit PDF.

Tips

  • Landscape PDFs, such as exported slide decks, fill a widescreen slide best.
  • Higher image quality looks better on large screens but makes the file bigger.
  • To share individual pages as pictures instead, use PDF to JPG.

The presentation is created in your browser and your PDF is never uploaded.
